IntraMed  is currently looking for a talented Assistant Program Director to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

The Assistant Program Director works on one or several accounts within the group, and has a support role in helping either a Program Director or Senior Program Director in the development and coordination of medical educational programs in a variety of media.  His or her primary objective is to serve as an assistant to one or several of our more senior program staff members, working on behalf of several accounts, and helping to implement projects. 

 

In carrying out these responsibilities, the Assistant Program Director will work most closely with the Program staff within IntraMed.  He or she will also work with the creative staff at IntraMed (Art Directors, Computer Graphics Support personnel, and Editors) as well as with the Traffic department.  The Assistant Program Director will also work with outside vendors, such as printers, freelance writers, travel bureaus, and hotel convention/banquet services personnel.  Over time, a successful Assistant Program Director will have an opportunity for Client contact.  The Assistant Program Director is an entry-level account services position, and therefore encompasses a range of activities, including clerical and administrative functions.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Support the Program Directors and Senior Program Directors in the implementation of medical education programs and coordination of outside vendors and internal activities. This may include activities such as the development of travel manifests and rooming lists, basic library research, coordination of production, drafting research reports, etc.
    • Learn how to develop budgets and schedules for Client approval, and ensure that cost estimates and timetables are adhered to in the management of the project. This entails securing estimates and reviewing contracts from freelance workers, hotels, suppliers, etc. 
    • Learn how to draft all necessary business correspondence required during the implementation of a project
    • Coordinate internal processes, work with Editorial and Art staff to secure copy and layout of top creative quality and in accordance with Client’s needs
    • Handle any necessary administrative work for the account(s) as required. This may include photocopying, filing, etc.

 

 

Qualifications

 

A.S.K. (Ability/Skills/Knowledge):

 

  • Strong Computer skills (Windows, Office, database)
  • Research abilities
  • 1+ years industry experience a plus
  • Knowledge of healthcare issues/clinical therapeutics a plus
