The Staff Accountant is a valued individual in the Controller's group. The Staff Accountant will report to the assistant controller and will be heavily involved in the month end close process. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior level accountant looking to take the next step in their career and will provide solid experience for candidates interested in or already pursuing the CPA track.


-Prepare and record monthly journal entries and accruals

-Prepare and review monthly account analyses for P&L and Balance Sheet accounts. Desired candidates should possess the ability to identify accruals and explain variances to budget & prior periods.

-Assist in reconciling local trial balance and reports to SAP reporting packages.

-Take on a lead role, working closely with senior accountant on monthly review and amortization of fixed assets, capitalized software, and prepaids.

-Assist Senior Accountant with Intercompany reporting as a backup and on an as needed basis.

-Monthly review of open purchase orders for validity and quarterly preparation of open PO accruals.

-Maintain company's online gift register -Assist with divisional and client profitability reporting on a monthly basis.

-Process and analyze monthly headcount entries.

-Other ad hoc analysis and reporting.


Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree in accounting with 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, knowledge of financial systems, and the ability to demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role is best suited for detail oriented individuals who possess strong analytical skills, work well as part of a team, and excel in a fast paced environment.
