IntraMed is currently looking for a talented Medical Director or Scientific Associate to join our growing team.


Role Summary:


The Medical Director/Scientific Associate  is the scientific expert within IntraMed who is responsible for providing strategic direction to ensure that all program content is aligned with clients’ objectives. It is the Medical Director’s responsibility to ensure that work delivered to the client is of the highest quality and consistently exceeds expectations.


  • Create scientific and medical content geared towards physicians
  • Contribute to, and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of clients’ strategies and be able to discuss business issues in a sophisticated manner
  • Research therapeutic areas and educate staff about science, clinical, and marketing issues
  • Provide ongoing updates of medical issues that may impact the brand
  • Recommend new programs/tactics based upon knowledge of product marketing strategy and life cycle–conceive, develop, and drive communication strategies and tactics that align with clients’ brands and support the business objectives
  • Review programs for compliance with strategy and for medical accuracy and appropriateness, provide guidance and direction to medical writers and other staff as needed
  • Drive development of scientific platforms that are strategically aligned with client/brand objectives and aspirations
  • Establish trust and confidence with the client by demonstrating pharmaceutical industry expertise, drive, and competence in delivering on the communication strategy
  • Continually identify new opportunities for clients’ to realize communication opportunities
  • Cultivate existing relationships with key opinion leaders and initiate new relationships to drive appropriate communication strategies and content
  • Conduct presentations within various client meetings
  • Develop, prepare and present new business pitches
  • Work with account services staff to maintain financial control and responsibility for business including appropriate staffing



  • Strong medical background (MD, PharmD, or PhD required)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute educational programs for clients
  • Strong strategic, analytical skills and effective problem-solving skills. Must also be able to exercise positive judgment to assess situations, evaluate options and make decisions, and draw conclusions
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/initiatives in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to interpret data, develop key insights and assess the impact of recommendations on client business objectives
  • Willing to travel at least twice a month
