    The VP, Medical Strategist is responsible for leading the scientific and strategic direction across IntraMed accounts. This involves setting the strategic direction for the group, securing new business, and assuring the highest caliber work product in terms of medical content. The VP, works on several accounts within the group, and has responsibility for medical programs in a variety of scientific media that may include Promotional Medical Education, clinical advisory board meetings, speaker trainings, digital projects and scientific workshops.  


    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • A significant portion of this role will be spent engaging in new business initiatives and leading pitch opportunities.
    • Provide compelling and scientifically accurate content for a variety of communications and promotional projects
    • Lead scientific research, which includes writing and liaison with Clients
    • Collaborate with Program Directors to ensure that materials meet Client’s strategic specifications
    • Responsible for the scientific and medical aspect of existing Clients works as well as new business development and strategic insight
    • Substantial knowledge of clinical medicine, preferably across a broad range of conditions. Ability to quickly develop expertise in new therapeutic areas
    • Solid experience in content development
    • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
    • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals



    A.S.K. (Ability/Skills/Knowledge):

    • MD, PhD or PharmD
    • 3+ years of experience within medical/healthcare/Pharma or related field - can be: MSL, clinical, Med Ed, Med Comm, etc.
    • 3-5 years related work experience within content creation; preferably in a medical communications company and/or medical education company and/or pharmaceutical field, and/or professional medical publisher
    • Ability to do scientific research and writing
    • Broad based knowledge of pharmaceuticals
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to learn quickly and understand client’s needs
    • Excellent presentation, people leadership, conflict management, performance management skills
    • Travel to conferences and clients as needed
