S&H is currently looking for a talented Business Manager to join our growing team.

 

The Business Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management for an assigned portfolio of accounts in conjunction with Client Finance Manager and Client Services counterparts.  General responsibilities include; a strong communication and working relationship with Account Management Team coordinating all financial aspects or needs of a Client including, but not limited to, monthly invoicing/billing, accounts receivable and collections, inventory management, filing, maintenance of financial documents, monitoring actual costs to estimates, client reconciliations and other client reporting as requested.  Average work week will require 40-50 hours in order to successfully perform a Business Manager’s position.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing Internal weekly report distributions to Account Management/Agency staff, and highlighting key points to review.
  • Regular interaction and communications with Account Management on open issues, such as status of jobs that have no estimate or are over estimate.
  • Work with Account Management on required transfers, write offs and other special requests.
  • Client Billings: timely and accurate processing of retainer fees, prebills, progressive and final invoices along with all required support documentation.  Provide draft invoices to Account Management staff with back up for approval where applicable. Consolidate and maintain updated job jacket files with appropriate support documentation. 
  • Accounts Receivable: monitor collection of Client invoices according to client terms. Provide Client Finance Manager and Account Management with Accounts Receivable Aging Reports.  Assist in making necessary calls/e-mails. Must effectively communicate with Client Finance Manager, internal staff and/or Clients to resolve past due receivables.
  • Inventory Management: review inventory levels weekly, and work with Client Finance Manager and Account Management to minimize unbilled inventory.  Monitor actual costs to estimates, and alert appropriate staff when actuals exceed estimates, or anticipated to exceed estimates.
  • Internal Partnering: schedule regular meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) with relevant Agency staff to review Client finances which but are not limited to the above referenced areas.
  • Preparation of financial analysis reports as requested for internal/external purposes.
  • Job Maintenance: Maintenance of opening and closing jobs in the JDE system.
  • Administrative Support: provide day to day maintenance of all necessary financial documentation, but is not limited to, filing of support documentation, review of agency reports to ensure accurate information is updated in the JDE system (PO, estimates, job types etc.).
