    The Opportunity


    The Business Intelligence Manager reports in to the Health & Wellness Chief Data Officer, and has a dotted line to the Sudler Head of Planning/Strategy. The key responsibilities are to help Sudler and H&W uncover more
    “data-driven” insights, and create more impactful marketing strategies and communications. To do so, the D&I Lead must understand WPP network capabilities, and cultivate relationships across the network in the areas of data, digital marketing, and technology. Working closely with the H&W Chief Data Officer, Sudler’s Head of Planning/Strategy, as well as the H&W CMIO and H&W team leaders, the Lead will partner with agency planning/strategy and creative leaders to identify, develop, and execute data-driven strategies and tactics to maximize the impact of our work on behalf of clients. Success requires building relationships and developing long-term strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders in new business, digital, analytics, account, creative, IT, and the planning/strategy team. The D&I Lead is exposed to a broad variety of therapeutic categories and marketing strategies, and will teach others how data can be deployed as a strategic differentiator in the health category.


    What You’ll Accomplish

    • Drive adoption of new ways of working centered on the use of data to drive insight, formulate
      go-to-market strategies, and forecast and measure the impact of marketing efforts. Your day-to-day activities will focus on:
      • Partnership with research teams at across WPP Health & Wellness agencies (Sudler, ghg OCHW, and CMI)
        • Using them as a central point of service to ensure that pitch and client work is consistently informed by the breadth of data assets across the network
      • Driving adoption of scenario planning and measurement:
        • Requires maintaining a productive partnership with the WPP Health & Wellness analytics team located in in NYC, NJ, and CT
        • May also involve partnering with other sister agencies (eg, Wunderman, Kantar, and GroupM), and external partners (eg, ZS, Axtria, MarketRx)
      • Driving adoption of data-driven segmentation and insight mining
      • Maintaining a productive partnership with agency colleagues to provide support for pitches and delivery of ongoing client work
    • Requires understanding of WPP Health & Wellnss HCP data assets:
        • Ogilvy CommonHealth Tr:pl and CMI ByDoctor
        • Ogilvy CommonHealth EHR Consulting offering
        • Capabilities of third-party partners, eg, Crossix
        • Consumer data assets from WPP’s Kantar Health National Health & Wellness Survey, Wunderman’s AmeriLink, and other third parties
        • Managing digital skills assessments, delivery of online education
      • From time to time, acting as planning lead with strategic digital/data client, including traditional pharma clients, companies such as Google’s Verily, food tech companies, etc
      • Curate and publish industry news, trends, and key events
        • Leading H&W thought leadership efforts and partnering with H&W PR/Comms Leaders
        • Leading broad internal and external outreach efforts, eg, webinar series
    • Direct participation in ongoing client work and collaboration with CMI
      • Work with key accounts to ensure important digital assets and media have quantitative goals and an established measurement plan
      • Help generate reports from Google Analytics/AdWords, Bing Ads, and Adobe Analytic
      • Conduct social listening projects
      • Create presentations and recommend opportunities
      • Create digital landscapes for clients and pitches as required
      • Assist with keyword research for SEO of client websites under development
      • Work with data systems (or CMI) to:
        • Acquire competitive spend and pull ads for current clients and new business pitches
        • Schedule maintenance, client billing, insertion orders and agency-of-record reports


    What You Need to Succeed

    • 5-7 years of experience working with data and analytics in the health sector, preferably supporting drug or device manufacturers’ needs
    • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s in Data Analytics, Information Science, or Business Administration a plus
    • Knowledge and understanding of the global, data-driven marketing ecosystem, including data providers, analytic tools, programmatic media (eg, DMP/DSP) technologies, and testing/optimization/personalization platforms
    • Proven track record of building consensus across matrixed teams to identify common goals and co-create messages and delivery strategies with internal and external partners
    • Passion for the growing importance of data when developing marketing strategies
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with running a local area network, controlling security levels with the IT team
