    The Opportunity

    Sentrix is looking for a talented VP, Strategic Planner to join our growing team.  For this role, both an analytical and a creative mind is needed to be able to take on responsibility for the strategic management and leadership across designated clients/projects and contribute to the development of the strategy offer as a whole.  The position reports to the EVP/Director of Strategic Planning.


    What You’ll Accomplish

    • Leading and undertaking the development of brand strategy across a designated portfolio of clients. 
    • Creating clear and compelling brand strategies that are driven by powerful insights and have strong resonance across internal and external audiences.  
    • Creating original, imaginative and expressive strategies to focus and inspire the creative and account teams. 
    • Collaborating closely with the Creative Director to ensure effective translation from strategy into design. 
    • Participating in internal project briefings and creative reviews on allocated client projects to champion the strategic viewpoint and ensure that all work is in line with the agreed strategy. 
    • Consulting on research management for projects, recommending research methodology, attending research and providing interpretation of research findings as a basis for the development of strategies and/or design work. 
    • Developing a collaborative working relationship with clients and providing strategic consultancy to our clients as part of the overall client/agency partnership. 
    • Harnessing strategy as a platform for the growth of successful long-term client relationships, working closely with the Business Management team in building effective partnerships and business with clients, building and reinforcing our role as strategic thought leaders. 


    What You Need to Succeed

    • The ability to be a strategic anchor on our multidisciplinary team: understanding business context, uncovering insights and category white space, exploring and defining growth opportunities, architecting strategy, leading working sessions, communicating vision, and ultimately helping turn our client’s ideas into market-ready products/ experiences. 
    • 7+ years relevant industry experience across one or more of the following areas: Strategic Planning, Product Management, Marketing, Market Research 
    • A curiosity for how people navigate decisions in the world around them 
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
    • Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear, compelling communications A talent for telling great stories and able to deliver insights about people and behavior in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement 
    • A natural skill to engage with people at a deep level whether observing or interviewing users/customers, fellow team members, or clients 
    • The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
    • Although traditional strategic planning experience can be a plus, we’re not looking for specialists in this area  
    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g.: life science, marketing); advanced degree a plus
