    Who are we looking for? Someone with great communication skills and can take direction as well as take the lead. We need someone who doesn't have an ego and can work collaboratively with a fantastic group of people who are anxious to take Sudler to the next level. In addition to having a deep and strong sense of empathy (and love of people), we need someone well steeped in the details and nuances of people operations. This includes: helping to navigate health care programs, strong knowledge of benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401k, profit sharing), ensure all state and federal compliance, take ownership of HR systems management for onboarding and offboarding employees to HRIS.  The HR Operations (Ops) Manager must provide people leadership and process oversight for the key functional areas of Payroll, Data Management and Insight, and Benefits and Compensation.





    • Manages HR Operations function and successfully partners with partners with Y&R Payroll Department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
    • Reviews changes and runs reports to support payroll processing (including entering new hires, terms into EV5. Reviews timekeeping to ensure pay is processed accurately for freelance, contingent, and fulltime workers.
    • Coordinates internal transfers to/from Sudler who mobilize between WPP agencies and onboard to appropriate systems Sudler


    Data Management & Insight

    • HR Ops Manager is responsible for continuous improvement of HR operational systems and processes to ensure high standards of efficiency, data accuracy, and compliance.
    • Manages and performs data entry and proactively audits HR systems to ensure the integrity of candidate and employee data. Always thinking of the best process for collaborating across IT, Finance and HR to onboard/offboard employees to systems in a seamless manner with a great communication flow. Assists with reporting for hires, terms, employee changes, and completing adhoc requests for reports.
    • Ability to turn data into an HR dashboard with information critical to HRBPs and business unit leaders.
    • Ability to assist with administering the annual employee engagement survey process.


    Benefits and Compensation

    • Assists WPP on behalf of Sudler with the administration of all benefit and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, 401(k) plan health. Recommends improvements to company benefits and the total reward package(s) offered to employees.
    • Processes and administers all leave of absence requests, disability paperwork including medical, personal, disability, NYJ & NYS PFL, and FMLA. Oversees Workers Comp processing, audits, and miscellaneous internal audits.
    • Identifies opportunities and takes initiative in strategically planning data management and people operation program or system roll-out’s. Always thinks about implications of system implementations where ability to connect to other systems and workflow is concerned. Manages system implementations and the communication with others in the workflow or on a project team, and manages user training (Self Service Portals, Benefits etc.)
    • Assesses compensation and keep a pulse on job creation process. Partners with HRBPs to execute the compensation and job creation processes. The HR Ops Managers also inputs changes/requests for salary increase and new eligibility for restricted stock options into the company E –Comp system.
    • He/she will provide continuous process improvement by analyzing internal functions and leveraging knowledge of trends in compensation and rewards, with a goal to create competitive edge.


    HR Team, Collaboration & Other Responsibilities

    • Contributes to HR learning and development by staying on top of trends in people operations and sharing learning’s at internal team meetings.
    • Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of HR’s overall vision and objectives.
    • Be willing and able to roll up your sleeves and “problem-solve” anything that comes your way.
    • Other processes, duties and assignments to occur based on business needs and further development of the HR Operations team.



    • Undergraduate degree in business-related field. 5+ years demonstrated experience working with or supporting the HR Operations processes in a growing company.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced HR environment ideally in an advisory/operational capacity.
    • Superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow through on tasks. Able to multitask without getting overwhelmed easily. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills; desire to partner with HRBPs to improve processes.
    • Experience working with HR Systems such as ADP (EV5), Benefit Systems (Mercer), JD Edwards. Understanding of various HR applications (including Workday, ADP or similar systems) and processes to support service delivery processes across the HR team.
    • Strong excel skills, business and financial acumen, and analytical skills.
    • Strong documentation, organization, communication (verbal and written), and collaboration skills.
    • High emotional intelligence - deals with people with effective care and candor.
    • Knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning employment and reporting compliance matters in NJ, NY and CA, and other locations as the business grows.
